Meet local women involved in the production process and learn how shea nuts are transformed into the rich, natural shea butter used throughout Ghana and internationally.
Observe the traditional stages of production, including roasting, grinding and churning, while learning about the importance of shea butter to communities and local livelihoods.
The journey continues to a working leather workshop, where skilled artisans demonstrate traditional leatherworking techniques. Watch as raw hides and leather are transformed into handmade bags, sandals, belts and other products.

Your final major cultural experience takes you to Red Clay Museum, an open-air art and cultural space located just outside Tamale. The centre combines art, architecture, education and community in a distinctive environment constructed largely with locally made red clay bricks.
